Marjorie Taylor Greene is suddenly at the center of a political firestorm, and she’s now publicly expressing fear for her safety after a very public clash with President Trump.
In a CNN interview, Greene said the president’s decision to label her “Marjorie Traitor Greene” was not only false but deeply distressing. According to her, rhetoric like that can escalate tensions and create real risks for public officials. She emphasized that such language “can radicalize people” and fuel threats against her.
The conflict escalated further when far-right commentator Laura Loomer celebrated the insult online, claiming she coined the nickname years ago. This added even more visibility to the feud already unfolding inside conservative circles.
Greene’s break with Trump reportedly began after she pushed the administration to fully address questions surrounding the Epstein files. Shortly after, Trump accused her of drifting toward the “far left” and dismissed her recent behavior as constant complaining. He went as far as calling her a “disgrace” to the Republican Party a striking contrast from his past comments praising her loyalty.
In a new post on X, Greene revealed that private security groups have contacted her about growing online hostility. She said she’s been advised to take precautions due to escalating threats, which she believes are being amplified by the president’s attacks.
She also drew a comparison between her current fear and the pressure faced by women connected to the long-running Epstein case a comparison that is already stirring debate. Greene claims that the messages she sent Trump urging full transparency on the Epstein files are what pushed him “over the edge.”

This unfolding feud shows how quickly alliances inside the GOP can collapse and how dangerous political infighting can feel for those caught in the middle.
