WW3 fears explode as seething Putin 'sees UK as number 1 enemy'

UK Defence Secretary John Healey has warned that Vladimir Putin now views Britain as his “number one enemy”, citing the country’s strong and consistent support for Ukraine in its war against Russia.

Speaking at the Lord Mayor of London’s Defence Lecture at Mansion House, Healey revealed that Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has personally described the UK as “his closest ally.”

“This is why Putin ranks Britain as his number one enemy,” Healey told the audience, highlighting how the UK’s unwavering military and humanitarian assistance has angered the Kremlin.

Zelensky’s Tense Meeting With Donald Trump

The Defence Secretary’s remarks came just days after reports emerged of a heated exchange between President Zelensky and US President Donald Trump during a meeting at the White House. According to insiders, the meeting “descended into a shouting match” after Trump allegedly urged Zelensky to consider territorial concessions to Russia to avoid further conflict.

Zelensky, however, stood firm, vowing that Ukraine would never reward “terrorists” for their crimes, and later wrote on social media:

“We count on our partners to support this position.”

UK’s Continued Support for Ukraine

John Healey praised the British public for their compassion, noting that 167,000 Ukrainian refugees have been welcomed into the UK since the war began.

“The British people have shown that our nation remains united for Ukraine,” he said, according to The Sun.

The UK government is preparing to deliver a record £4.5 billion in military aid to Kyiv this year, reinforcing its leading role among NATO allies in countering Russian aggression.

New British Drone to Target Russian Shahed Drones

In a significant announcement, Healey revealed that Britain is set to start manufacturing a new anti-drone weapon system within weeks.

The system, called Octopus, is a joint UK-Ukraine project designed to intercept and destroy Russian Shahed drones. Built using Ukrainian technology and British engineering, the low-cost unmanned drones aim to deter Russian aircraft and protect NATO’s eastern borders.

According to Healey, these new drones will be mass-produced using advanced UK manufacturing methods, with thousands expected to be supplied to Ukraine to strengthen its air defenses.

A Message to Putin: “Aggression Will Be Challenged”

Last month, Healey told The Telegraph that any reckless or dangerous Russian maneuvers would face a united response from NATO nations.

“We’re ready with allies through NATO to demonstrate to Putin that his aggression and his incursions, reckless or intentional, will be challenged,” he said.

If Russia were ever to directly target the UK, Article 5 of the NATO treaty could be invoked meaning all allied nations would be obligated to defend Britain, potentially escalating the crisis to a global level.

  1. The British Royal Family who are driving this have an inter-generational obsession with avenging the fate of the Romanov Royal Family. If it weren't for the UK Royal Family driving this democratic forces would push the British Government to disengage and seek peaceful resolution/ Problem is, UK is only a sham democracy driven by an archaic aristocracy.
