Trump sends Putin chilling 4-word threat after Kremlin tests nuclear powered missile

Tensions between Washington and Moscow just reached a new high. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced what he called a “successful” secret test flight of the Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile on October 21 a weapon Russian media claims has unlimited range and the chilling nickname “Flying Chernobyl.”

The announcement came as Putin visited a war command post for a briefing on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, joined by his top military chief, Valery Gerasimov. Dressed in military fatigues, Putin proudly declared the missile test a milestone, claiming it could fly continuously for 15 hours  “not the limit,” according to Gerasimov.

But the reaction from Washington was swift and sharp. When asked about Putin’s boast while aboard Air Force One, U.S. President Donald Trump didn’t hold back. Calling the remarks “inappropriate,” he urged Putin to “end the war” instead of flaunting nuclear weapons.

Then came Trump’s four-word warning a pointed reminder to the Kremlin that America’s nuclear-armed submarines are “right off their shore.” The president added, “We test missiles all the time. We’re not playing games with them, and they’re not playing games with us.”

The exchange comes amid rising hostilities between the two powers. The U.S. recently imposed sweeping sanctions on Russia’s energy giants Rosneft and Lukoil, moves that analysts say could cripple Moscow’s war financing. In response, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev accused Washington of “declaring war” on Russia.

With both leaders trading sharp words and new nuclear tests underway, global security experts warn that the standoff could mark one of the most dangerous moments in U.S.–Russia relations since the Cold War.
