Donald Trump torn apart on Saturday Night Live in brutal parody – he won't be happy

Saturday Night Live delivered a sharp parody of US President Donald Trump, focusing on the No Kings March that unfolded just hours earlier. James Austin Johnson reprised his role as Trump, joining a teen-led podcast called Snack Homiez to hilariously react to the nationwide protests.

In the sketch, "Trump" surprisingly praised the demonstrations, calling them a “Yes King” march in celebration of George Santos’ prison sentence being commuted. Santos had been serving seven years for voter fraud and other crimes. The impersonator said:

"You know who I like is George Santos. He’s weird, he’s a liar. I think he’s great. We don’t know anything about him. He’s one of our favorite people. I don’t know him at all but one of our favorite people."

Trump’s parody even took a jab at his own record, referencing claims of ending multiple wars. He jokingly stated:

"Something like 200 wars, right? You look at China, you look at Korea I’ve solved like seven wars at this point. No one gives me credit. It’s like 100 wars I’ve solved."

Host Colin Jost also made a controversial joke about Trump sending a loan to Argentina, alluding to the post-World War II flight of Nazi officials to the country. However, the joke seemed to fall flat, leaving the audience in an awkward silence. Jost attempted to lighten the moment, noting, "Hey, one clap! I’m just kidding."

The Argentine reference connects to the real-world US-Argentina financial exchange, as the United States is providing a loan in dollars to support Argentina’s economy, which adds another layer to the sketch’s humor for those following international news.

SNL continues to blend political satire with current events, and this latest sketch shows just how sharply the show targets Trump, mixing absurdity with real-world political commentary.
