Donald Trump was seen leaving the White House on Sunday morning around 10 a.m., heading to Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia. Despite this sighting, online speculation about his health has been growing rapidly.
Over the past week, Trump’s absence from public view fueled conspiracy theories, with some even spreading the false claim that he had died. These rumors picked up traction after White House correspondents noted they had not seen him in public since a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Vice President JD Vance’s comments to USA Today that he must “always be prepared in case of a terrible tragedy” added further fuel to online speculation.
Although Trump has been photographed at both the White House and his Virginia golf course, doubts continue to circulate. Some social media users have gone as far as suggesting the person seen recently is an “imposter.” Others claim he may have suffered a medical episode that his staff tried to keep out of the public eye.
Adding to the uncertainty, several of Trump’s official events last week including executive order signings were closed to the press. Normally, Trump welcomes media coverage at such moments, which has led some to question why reporters were excluded.
On top of this, people online have been analyzing photos of Trump, claiming some of the images were old and even reused from previous years. While none of these claims are verified, they have kept the rumor mill running.
The only confirmed medical update came in July, when Trump’s doctors revealed he has chronic venous insufficiency, a condition that causes blood to pool in the legs and arms instead of returning efficiently to the heart. This is believed to explain the swelling in his ankles that has often been noticed in recent appearances.
As of now, Trump has no publicly confirmed schedule for the coming week, though it’s expected he will take Labor Day off. Until he makes a live appearance, speculation about his health is unlikely to fade.
