Trump 'hides' hands amid health concerns despite efforts to dispel rumours

Donald Trump has once again become the focus of health rumors, with social media users zeroing in on his hands. Observers recently noticed the former President appearing to hide them more often than usual, fueling speculation despite repeated denials from his team.

During a White House meeting with top tech executives, Trump who is typically known for his animated hand gestures kept his hands mostly out of sight. Body language expert Judi James told The Mirror that this change in behavior stood out. According to her, Trump may have been caught off guard by the wave of online chatter and responded by appearing more restrained. She added that although he did briefly show both hands, their appearance was “fleeting” compared to his usual style.

At the event, Trump seemed in high spirits as he praised advances in artificial intelligence and touted new investments across the U.S. Surrounded by what he called “high IQ people,” he was visibly enjoying the praise and flattery from the tech leaders present. James described the gathering as a “stroke and purr” session, pointing out that even most executives kept their hands below the table, mirroring Trump’s posture.

The online speculation grew louder after Trump was spotted at his golf course with visible bruising on his right hand and swelling in his ankles. When asked directly by Fox News’ Peter Doocy about rumors of his death that circulated over the weekend, Trump joked that he hadn’t even been aware of them, dismissing the chatter as “fake news.” He insisted he had been “very active” during that period.

Later, the White House confirmed that Trump has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition in older adults where the veins struggle to return blood effectively from the legs to the heart. This can cause swelling, discoloration, or bruising in the extremities, though it is generally manageable.

While political opponents continue to amplify speculation about his wellbeing, experts note that much of the focus on Trump’s hands is more about optics and perception than medical severity.
