Donald Trump's health 'worsens by the day' as president accused of fresh symptoms

Is Donald Trump showing new signs of dementia after his latest remarks on Russia and NATO?

Donald Trump has once again sparked controversy over his health after appearing to backtrack on his longstanding promise to impose fresh sanctions on Russia.

For months, the president has insisted he would take strong action against Moscow if it refused to negotiate a peace deal with Ukraine. But over the weekend, he shifted his stance, saying sanctions would only happen if NATO allies stopped buying Russian oil and agreed to impose their own penalties.

This sudden change triggered a wave of speculation about Trump’s mental fitness. Critics argue his comments reveal signs of confusion and possible cognitive decline, with some claiming his symptoms “worsen by the day.” Observers have also pointed to other concerns raised in recent weeks, including a drooped face during appearances, swelling in his ankles, and makeup reportedly covering marks on his hands.

On Truth Social, Trump posted a lengthy statement directed at NATO leaders, demanding they take coordinated action on both Russia and China. He even proposed a sweeping tariff on Beijing, claiming it would weaken Russia’s reliance on its closest ally. However, the tone and wording of his message raised more questions than answers.

Social media reactions were swift. One user wrote: “Trump is slowly but surely reaching the dementia stage of Joe Biden.” Another argued: “He has threatened to leave NATO before, but now his dementia is getting harder to hide.”

This is not the first time his comments about the Ukraine war have drawn scrutiny. In April, during a meeting with El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, Trump appeared to suggest that Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky had “started the war,” forgetting that it was Vladimir Putin who launched the invasion. A viral clip of that moment added fuel to claims about memory lapses and confusion.

Despite these growing concerns, Trump’s most recent medical exam in April declared him to be in “excellent” physical and cognitive health, according to White House physician Dr. Barbabella.

With speculation intensifying, the debate continues: are Trump’s controversial remarks simply political maneuvering, or do they point to something deeper about his health and fitness for office?
