During the 24th anniversary memorial service for the 9/11 terror attacks at the Pentagon, President Donald Trump’s appearance drew attention and sparked widespread discussion online. While the event was broadcast live, some viewers noticed what appeared to be a droop on one side of Trump’s face.
Clips quickly spread on social media, with some users speculating whether the President may have experienced a transient ischemic attack (often referred to as a mini-stroke) or another health issue. One viewer wrote that Trump looked “like he had a TIA and had been that way for over 30 minutes,” while others commented that he seemed to struggle with keeping his eyes open.
CNN, which aired the memorial, was criticized by some for continuing to broadcast without addressing the speculation. Critics pointed out that the same network has frequently analyzed President Joe Biden’s health, arguing that Trump’s condition should receive equal scrutiny.
At this stage, there has been no official confirmation of any medical issue. The White House has not released an update, and Trump’s physician has maintained that the President is in “excellent health.” In the past, Trump has explained bruising on his hands as a side effect of frequent handshakes and aspirin use.
Former White House physician and Congressman Ronny Jackson also defended Trump, calling him “the healthiest president this nation has ever seen.” Still, speculation continues online, with some users suggesting he may be undergoing regular medical testing or treatment.
For now, Trump’s team insists he remains in good health, though the debate over his public appearances is likely to remain a hot topic especially as health has become a recurring point of scrutiny for both major party leaders.
