Moment Fox News pauses coverage as Trump explodes at reporter: 'Not allowed!'

In a rather unusual moment at the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump had to pause his speech several times during a live broadcast forcing Fox News to cut away from the coverage on multiple occasions.

The speech, which took place on October 20, was part of Trump’s official welcome ceremony for Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who is currently on a diplomatic visit to Washington, D.C.

Technical Glitches and On-Air Confusion

The live feed started off with unexpected delays as camera crews scrambled to set up equipment in the Oval Office. Growing impatient, Trump was heard asking one of the cameramen, “Did you want to move your camera over here, or are we going to have who are you shooting for?”

Despite attempts to fix the issue, the technical problems persisted, prompting the two leaders to move from the Oval Office to the White House dining room. The sudden change left Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner momentarily confused on air. She told viewers, “I think they’re still getting into place here, so we’re going to watch as that happens and go back.”

Moments later, when Fox tried returning to the live feed, Trump began speaking again, which led to yet another abrupt cutaway.

A Bump, a Mirror, and a Viral Moment

During the speech, things took another unexpected turn when a camera accidentally knocked into a historic mirror. Trump immediately stopped mid-sentence, exclaiming, “Ooh, you gotta watch that. You’re not allowed to break that this mirror’s 400 years old!”

He went on to add humorously, “The camera just hit the mirror! I just moved it here from the vaults, and the first thing that happens a camera hits it. Hard to believe, isn’t it? But that’s life.”

The lighthearted but chaotic moment quickly became viral online, with clips circulating on X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube, sparking reactions from both supporters and critics.

Fox News Reaction and Coverage

Fox News initially interrupted its New York City mayoral race coverage to switch to the breaking event, with Faulkner narrating, “This is breaking right now the president greeting the Australian Prime Minister.”

She continued, “Rare earth minerals are at the heart of this meeting. The U.S. and Australia share a strong friendship, and the leaders are expected to discuss trade and defense cooperation.”
