Fox News interrupted its regular programming for a breaking update from President Donald Trump, who used a heated White House press conference to take a pointed jab at former President Joe Biden and to slam what he called “fake news reporting.”
Speaking after returning from his Middle East trip where he announced that a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas had been achieved Trump took questions from reporters but quickly turned the spotlight on his political rival.
With his signature mix of humor and bravado, Trump remarked,
“I’d love to go to Argentina. I’d like to be like Biden go to the beach, you know… My legs are not quite as thin as his. My arms are slightly larger. My body’s a little bigger than his.”
He then continued, saying,
“You won’t see me sitting on a beach in Argentina, falling down and not being able to lift a three-ounce chair. It was meant for older people to lift, and he couldn’t lift it, so he had a problem.”
The former president went on to joke about Biden’s frequent beach appearances, adding,
“Somebody told him he looked good in a bathing suit, and you see this guy on the beach all the time I never quite understood it.”
Trump’s remarks quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions online. Fox News viewers and social media users on X (formerly Twitter) had mixed responses.
One user commented, “Trump’s Argentina quip, jabbing Biden’s beach trips while boasting about his ‘stronger legs,’ is classic Trump humor masking a deeper dig.”
Another joked, “President Trump always knows how to add a touch of comedy! Maybe Argentina is next just pack the sunglasses!”
A third user laughed, “The beach rivalry we didn’t know we needed: Trump vs. Biden, calves edition.”
And another wrote, “Biden might have the beach, but Trump definitely has the commentary.”
