Donald Trump Mocks ‘No Kings’ Protesters With Videos

President Donald Trump has sparked outrage online after mocking participants of the massive “No Kings” protests by sharing two AI-generated videos portraying himself as a king.

The clips, posted to his social media platform Truth Social, show Trump in over-the-top royal imagery. In one video, he’s seen putting on a crown while holding a sword aloft as the song “Hail to the King” by Avenged Sevenfold plays in the background. Another video depicts him flying a plane labeled “King Trump” and dropping a mysterious brown liquid over crowds of protesters set to Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone” from the movie Top Gun.

The posts came shortly after hundreds of thousands of people flooded the streets in cities across the United States and abroad for the “No Kings” movement a campaign aimed at defending democracy and rejecting authoritarianism. According to organizers, over 2,600 rallies were held worldwide, including events in Germany, Portugal, Sweden, the U.K., and the Czech Republic.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson addressed the crowd in his city, asking if residents were ready to “defend this democracy” and “fight fascism.” The rally then erupted in chants of “No Kings!”

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) wrote on X (formerly Twitter):

“What an honor to speak at the No Kings protest in beautiful Philadelphia, where America was launched and Thomas Jefferson denounced King George’s ‘long train of abuses.’ There’s so much joy and strength in Philly today.”

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey echoed similar sentiments, posting:

“No Kings. Minneapolis is united for our neighbors, united for our democracy.”

The No Kings coalition previously made headlines for organizing 1,800 nationwide protests on June 14, coinciding with both Trump’s birthday and the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. They also supported the recent “Make Billionaires Pay” demonstrations on September 20.

Despite the growing number of protests, Trump appears unfazed. His online posts and rhetoric have only intensified as his critics grow louder. Reports suggest he may even consider invoking the Insurrection Act to federalize the National Guard a controversial move that could heighten tensions further.

As Trump’s presidency continues, the clash between his administration and the pro-democracy movements shows no sign of slowing down.
