President Donald Trump recently addressed unusual rumors circulating online that claimed he had passed away.
Speculation grew after a noticeable bulge was spotted under his jacket during a White House appearance, leading some social media users to question his health. The chatter intensified because Trump was not seen publicly for much of the Labor Day weekend.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Trump dismissed the claims:
"I’ve heard it’s sort of crazy. Last week I did numerous press conferences, all successful. They went very well. Then I didn’t do any for two days, and people started saying something must be wrong with me."
He also took the opportunity to criticize President Joe Biden, adding:
"Biden wouldn’t do them for months. You wouldn’t see him, and nobody said anything."
Despite Trump’s response, many online users focused on the odd crease in his sleeve and the mysterious bump under his jacket. One X (formerly Twitter) user commented: “Strange. Fabric doesn’t normally fall like that across an arm.”
Some suggested the bulge could be from a padded suit, while others disagreed, pointing out that the sleeve’s fall did not match typical padding. Another commenter questioned why a billionaire wouldn’t have perfectly tailored suits, while one more speculated that the crease might have been caused by someone steadying Trump just before the photo was taken.
The debate highlights how even minor visual details can fuel viral speculation about public figures, especially in an era where images are dissected instantly online.
